Square raised awareness of its full suite of business solutions, highlighting offerings that went beyond the Square Reader. The focus was on showing how Square’s tools simplified and enhanced everyday business operations, from point of sale systems to online ordering, real time analytics, and kitchen display solutions.

By demonstrating the breadth and versatility of its products, Square positioned itself as a comprehensive platform for businesses of all sizes, helping them operate efficiently, make informed decisions, and grow.

The solutions were designed to be clear, accessible, and appealing to a wide audience of business owners.

What the client needed

Square wanted to raise awareness of its full range of business solutions beyond the Square Reader, including Square Terminal, Square Stand, and Square POS software, specifically targeting coffee shops and cafes. The goal was to showcase how these solutions could be integrated seamlessly into everyday operations, helping businesses improve efficiency, enhance the customer experience, and simplify management.

The focus was on demonstrating the versatility and value of Square’s tools, highlighting how cafes and coffee shops could benefit from using the full suite of products in a practical, real-world setting.

Brewed for Business

We recognised that the activation needed to clearly convey Square’s key message while being visually approachable for coffee shops and cafes. The aim was to show how Square could help business owners stay in the flow of hospitality by connecting all their favourite business tools in one seamless system.

Our strategy focused on highlighting the practical benefits: managing payments, inventory, staff, and reporting in one place, stylish hardware that complements the cafe environment, and intuitive software that made training and operations simple. We also wanted to emphasise tools that drive sales, improve operational efficiency, and cultivate customer loyalty.

The design had to be simple yet functional, allowing guests to quickly understand the product offerings while creating space for interaction. By balancing education, engagement, and visual appeal, we ensured that Square’s solutions felt accessible, practical, and essential for everyday cafe operations.

How we activated

The space was designed to encourage hands-on exploration while clearly communicating Square’s value propositions. Walls were branded with Square colours, plinths displayed the hardware including Square Stand, Terminal, and Register, and tall tables were positioned for Sales team engagement.

A designated area showcased giveaways such as Square tote bags, Readers, and Keep Cups, attracting visitors and providing a tangible connection to the brand. Guests were invited to test the technology, experience the seamless integration of front- and back-of-house operations, and see different payment options in action, including swipe, tap, dip, and QR code, even offline.

The setup emphasised real-time insights, inventory management, and loyalty tools, allowing visitors to understand how Square could boost efficiency, drive sales, and cultivate regulars. Every element was purposeful, making the solutions memorable, engaging, and easy to experience in a cafe environment.
